There are only a handful of books we recommend. This book is one of them. The "gurus" of the reef hobby/business are (in no particular order): Robert Fenner, Julian Sprung, J.Charles Delbeek, Anthony Calfo, Eric Borneman, Alf Jacob Nilsen, Svein A. Fossa and Michael Paletta. Of course there are many other respected writers but these guys are truly the creme de la creme.
